We travel on the road a lot with my two dogs. In the past we have used a bottle with a tray but, it was very difficult to put the water back inside the bottle so, we always had to throw it. It came with an extra washer and a pre-included carbon filter to filter the water out ( Love it). The on and off button is just a slide away to control the water out of the hole into the bowl and pretty self-explanatory. I was able to get the water back inside easily ( Save water) :). It also has a drawstring kind of a thing to carry the bottle with ease if you are walking. Overall love the product. Might have to buy one more for my other dog :)
